As promised, please find the continuation of my themes in the What type of bride are you series. Here I am defining themes and styles as a source of inspiration to help brides conceptualize their wedding styles. Today we look at the Garden Party and Bohemian themes.
1. Garden Party
For this theme I am inspired by a real bride, my gorgeous sister Beth, who had a stunning garden wedding in Texas USA. The wedding was set in Spring, when everything was crisp and fresh. Garden weddings provide a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere and where nature's beauty provides a perfect backdrop to your event. I love the cathedral mirror backdrop behind the simply draped wedding arch, that creates depth and character under the tree. The white and green palette is classical, elegant and stylish. Draping fairy lights or hanging bulbs among the trees adds to the ambiance and much needed lighting when the sun starts to set. With this type of wedding, your dress can be unique and impactful in any way that suits your style. Beth's dress is unique and classical with a sassy and fun twist, just like Beth. She is an accomplished photographer and creative, as well as the ability to excel at anything that she puts her mind to, such as all sports! She recently competed in her first mountain biking event and won the race, an inspiration! With a gorgeous open back and fitted silhouette, that flares at the bottom, Beth looked radiant and beautiful. There are unlimited possibilities with garden weddings and you really can pull off any colour palette to suit your style.
2. Bohemian Theme
The term "Bohemian" is applied to people who live unconventional, usually artistic, lives. Reflecting on the fashion style of "boho-chic" are gypsy girls themselves ... and are sexy and delightful precisely because they do not give a hoot for fashion. This style and theme is a blank canvas to be creative. Bohemian dresses are categorized by exquisite lace, normally figure hugging or a soft flowy look. These dresses are so unique, and paired with quite striking shades of copper and berry colours, can look amazing. With freshly picked roses in the hair or flower crowns create a whimsical yet magical look.
Thanks for popping over, head on over next week for another post in this series.
